1. Cube 1/2 loaf of bread. Discard heels.
2. In medium sauce pan, mix over medium heat: onion, celery, poultry seasoning, turkey liver, Crisco, water, parsley leaves, salt & pepper.
3. Simmer until soft. About 20-30 minutes. Be patient.
4. Add bread cubes. Should be very moist. Add more hot water if necessary.
Interesting Optional Additions: Chopped pecans, chopped mushrooms, chopped apple, chestnuts, raisins, etc...
For bird:
*Stuff loosely into cavity rubbed with salt. Place piece of wax paper at opening. Cross drumsticks and tie with string.
*Stuff neck cavity
