This PSG (Pretty Stinkin' Good) recipe has been used and tweaked for about forty years at all of our Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings.

Preheat oven to 350. (350 works to cook the dish perfectly without worrying so much about it burning.)
Spread drained beans on bottom of 1 1/2 quart covered casserole dish.
Sprinkle bacon over beans, followed by 1/2 cheese.
In a microwave safe mixing bowl, mix together pepper, paprika, and soup.
Gradually add bean juice until the soup mixture is pourable, but still thick. (Entire cup is seldom used.)
Add and mix remaining cheese.
Microwave soup mixture until cheese melts.
Stir and pour over beans in casserole, making sure all beans are covered.
Bake COVERED in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes, should be hot and bubbling on the edges. (Thirty minutes seems to be the right time for all the flavors to meld.)
Sprinkle with French Fried Onions and return UNCOVERED casserole to oven; browning the onions, about 10 minutes -- WATCH CAREFULLY to prevent burning.
This recipe works well for up to 3 cans of beans; 4 cans will require an additional 1/2 can of soup.
