My grandmother made this dessert for special occasions about once a year when I was growing up. With 8 kids, grandkids and great grandkids, she had to make a double batch and it still went very quickly! It is easy to make and so yummy!
1st Layer: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine melted butter, flour and pecans and press into an ungreased 9x13 pan. Bake for 20 minutes and allow to cool.
2nd Layer: Mix together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and Cool Whip. Pour into pan over first layer.
3rd Layer: Combine 3 cups milk and vanilla pudding mix. Mix well and pour over second layer. Allow to set. (About 5-10 minutes.)
4th Layer: Combine remaining milk and chocolate pudding mix, mixing well. Pour over third layer and allow to set up.
Top with remaining Cool Whip before serving. Keep refrigerated. If you have leftovers, make sure to cover tightly before placing back in fridge.
Make sure the pecans are chopped very finely. I buy the pecan cookie pieces in the baking isle, put them in a gallon Ziploc bag and go over it a few times with a rolling pin. This makes it like pie crust!
