Cream sugar and oil. Add eggs and pumpkin. Mix well. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk. Stir in vanilla. Beat in nuts and raisins with spoon. Put in two loaf pans sprayed with Pam.
Bake for about 1 hour @ 350 degrees.
Can be refrigerated or wrapped and put in freezer.
