Make crust by combining the graham crackers with melted butter and 1 tbsp of sugar in a med bowl. Stir well enough to coat all crumbs with butter, but not so much as to turn the mixture into a paste. Keep it crumbly.
Press the crumbs onto the bottom and about half way up the sides of the springform pan.
