Whisk pumpkin, sugar, oil, and eggs together in second bowl.
Stir pumpkin mixture into flour mixture until just combined.
Stir in chcolate chips until just incorporated.
Trasnfer batter to prepared pan and smooth top with rubber spatula.
Bake until paring knife inserted in center comes out clean, about 35 minutes.
Let cake cool in pan on wire rack for 20 minutes.
Remove cake from pan and let cool completely on rack, about 1 hour.
