A jmonsters favorite. It makes about 7 dozen cookies, or two days worth around here...
Preheat oven to 350.
In a mixing bowl, thoroughly cream together sugar & shortening.
Add pumpkin, eggs, & vanilla: Beat well.
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, & spices: Add to creamed mixture.
Stir in raisins & nuts.
Drop dough onto greased cookie sheet, 2 apart.
Bake 12-15 minutes.
Remove from cookie sheet and allow to cool.
Frost with vanilla frosting if desired.
