Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat all cake ingredients just until moistened, then beat on medium speed for two additional minutes. Pour into a greased and floured 13X9 inch baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Thoroughly cool.
Beat cream cheese, butter, vanilla extract, and cloves for frosting in large bowl until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in confectioners' sugar until smooth. Ice cake.
