Suggest a better descriptionMelt butter in large saucepan, add onion and soften for 8 minutes. Add chopped butternut along with half the selectors, then stir and season with salt and pepper. Put lid on and simmer on low for 10 minutes. Pour milk and stock and simmer for a further 20 minutes with lid half on.
Preheat grill for 10 minutes. Melt remaining butter, mix in rest of selectors and spread it on a baking tray, season with salt and pepper. Place 3 inches under grill for 8 minutes, moving sweetcorn around tray halfway through.
When soup is ready, blend in a food processor to a puree.
Serve soup in bowls sprinkling toasted selectors on top.
