Veema's Puris
Mix flour, salt, and oil really well.
Add water a little at a time while mixing & needing, to have large ball of dough.
Cover dough to keep it from drying out.
Roll dough into cylinders, slice with a knife into shorter cylinders, press with heel of hand to flatten, then roll into puris. (Amari likes to cut into shapes with cookie cutters.)
Heat frying oil. Oil is hot enough when small drop of dough rises immediately.
To make spicy puris, add following to dough: turmeric, red chili powder, and cumin seeds (slightly crushed).
