Cut the bacon slices in two. Fry / microwave until cooked but still tender.
If including broccoli, steam some floweret until just cooked and put on top of cheese.
Put the bacon and cheese in the bottom of the pie, alternating layers.
Beat the eggs with the cream and allspice. Pour on the cheese / bacon layers.
Heat the butter until it is slightly browned and pour on top.
Cook in the oven at 375C for 35 minutes, or until a knife inserted 1 inch from the side comes out clean.
