Shortcrust pastry: 7 oz flour sifted, pinch of salt, 7 tb butter chilled and cubed, 1/2-1 egg, beaten. Chill pastry in pie dish, line with foil or parchment and add beans and bake 350 for 15-20 min's until pastry looks dry.
Melt butter and cook onions until soft. Whisk eggs, then add cream, parsley, chives, cheese and bacon and onions. Mix well and add s&p. Pour into prebaked pastry and bake 30-40 min's until center is set at 350.
