Boil pasta. While boiling pasta heat oil in frying pan. Saute shrimp or chicken until almost cooked through. Add mushrooms and alfredo sauce. Turn heat down to medium/low and simmer until sauce is hot and noodles are ready, stirring occasionally.
About 3 minutes before noodles are done, add thawed broccoli to noodles and water. Finish cooking noodles and broccoli, then drain. Combine noodles and sauce. Serve.
You can use any pasta you choose. Fettuccine, Linguini, and Penne are my favorites for this.
