This is a great recipe to put together when youre in a pinch. You can make it for any number of people (even the carnivores!) and the ingredients are very easy to find. Ive been making it since I became a vegetarian 4 years ago (Im 18 now), so its simple enough for younger people to make, too. Rinse the beans thoroughly to cut down on the sodium content. Combine all ingredients into a large pot, and since theyre all pre-cooked, all you need to do is warm them up. I usually serve this over a couple of hearty slices of wheat bread, but brown rice would also be tasty. If youre eating this on a cold day, a nice cup of green tea also warms you up! vegan Posted to fatfree digest by firstname.lastname@example.org on Jun 30, 1999, converted by MM_Buster v2.0l.
