Put butter in baking dish and melt in oven.
Combine peaches, 1 cup sugar, and water in a saucepan and mix well.
Add additional seasonings to this mixture.
Bring to a boil, simmer for 10 minutes, and remove from heat.
Mix 1 cup sugar, flour, and milk slowly (to prevent clumping).
Pour batter over melted butter. Do not stir.
Spoon fruit and juices over batter.
Sprinkle cinnamon on top
Bake for 30-45 minutes at 350 degrees.
