Put water in a large pot then add the potatoes, beef, onion and parsnip if using in that order and bring to boil, lower heat to simmer and cook for 20 minutes with lid on stiring every 5minutes. Lift lid and add carrots and celery and stir through, cook for another 10 minutes.Lift lid and add peas and sauces and stir , until peas are tender and sauces are mixed through.
If you find there is to much liquid, then leave the lid off for the steam to escape after adding the carrots and celery and stiring them to the bottom.This can also be cooked in a crockpot and feel free to add any other vegies, sauces or even herbs or curry of your choice.
