Suggest a better descriptionPlace the milk, Vanilla Pod and seeds in a large saucepan and heat gently, bringing slowly to the boil. Meanwhile blend the egg yolks, caster sugar and cornflour together in a large bowl. Strain the hot milk onto the egg mixture stirring continuously. Rinse out the saucepan and pour in the custard mixture. Heat very gently, stirring continuously, until the sauce thickens. This should only take a minute or two. Serve hot or cold removing the Vanilla Pod just before serving. Quantity: Makes 1/2 pint
