This is a very quick and easy dip. Because most of the ingredients can be kept on hand (especially if you keep a pot of fresh basil year round) it makes a delicious snack to whip up for unexpected guests.
In skillet saute garlic and onion in oil till tender and transparent.
In food processor, blend remaining ingredients until nuts are finely chopped. With motor running add garlic and onion until incorporated. Salt and pepper to taste.
Serve dip with appetizer toasts or crackers.
