In a small bowl, combine cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy. Fold in 1/2 carton of Cool Whip; spread over cooled crust.
In a large bowl, beat pudding mix and milk and low speed until thickened, about 5 minutes. Pour mixture carefully over cream cheese layer; refrigerate 5 minutes to set. Spread with remaining whipped topping.
Store in refrigerator.
