Suggest a better descriptionHeat the butter in a pot or large saucepan over medium heat. Sweat the garlic until soft, about 5 minutes. Stir in the rice, cook for a few minutes until lightly toasted, then add the broth and the bay leaf, plus a pinch or two of salt. Bring to a simmer, then turn the heat to low, cover, and cook until the liquid has been absorbed and the rice is tender, about 17-20 minutes. Remove the lid and fluff with a fork before serving.
