Slice bread and briefly toast two slices per sandwich under the broiler. Take the “tops” out of the oven and turn the “bottoms” pieces over. Pile roast beef and provolone on the “bottoms” and return to broiler and heat until cheese is melted. Meanwhile, spread horseradish SAUCE on the “tops” to taste. Warm the Consomme in microwave and serve in a bowl for dipping.
