Skin sausage. Crumble and cook with green pepper in oil until sausage is lightly browned. Pour off excess oil. Add tomato puree and paste. Sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Serve with pasta.
During the summer I cook this in a baking dish on a gas grill to keep the kitchen cool. It's prettier and just as tasty with yellow or red bell peppers. Tomato paste and puree can be replaced with prepared pasta sauce.
