My husband makes gravy every year. I can't figure out what he does so here's my try
Boil turkey parts, in water with bay leaf thyme, carrot, and onion. When turkey is done strain water and pour into turky roaster. Bring to low boil, scrapping the drippings from the bottom of the pan. Add chicken broth as needed. Sprinkle in flour until you reach the thickness you desire.
