Best rolls ever.
Scald milk, add sugar and salt; cool to lukewarm.
Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water and add to lukewarm milk.
Add 3 cps flour and beat until perfectly smooth.
Add melted shortening and remaining flour, and enough to make easily handled dough.
Knead well.
Place in greased bowl. Cover and set in warm place, free from draft.
Let rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 1/2 hours.
Knead down, pinch off pieces, put in pan close together and let rise to double its bulk.
Bake in hot oven at 400 degrees F. about 20 min.
