1. In large bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth. Add in eggs and vanilla and beat. Stir in mixed flour, baking powder, and salt. Cover and chill overnight (or at least 1 hour).
2. Preheat oven to 400°F.
3. Knead dough, then roll on floured (or sugared/powdered sugar) surface (or on parchment paper), 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.
4. Cut into shapes. Place 1 inch apart on baking sheet.
5. Bake 6-8 minutes. Cool completely.
don't overcook; consider parchment paper; consider adding more sugar; if you cut out on parchment paper, you can just put the paper on the cookie sheet so the cookies are perfect!!!
