Seed peppers. Chop onions and peppers into pieces about 1 inch by 1/2 inch.
Fry the onions and peppers in the butter until the peppers until the peppers have just started to change color, the onions are clear and both are starting to brown.
Add chopped tomatoes and paprika. Cover the pot and simmer for 20-25 minutes, depending on how done you like your peppers.
Stir in tomato paste a little at a time until desired consistency is achieved.
Adjust seasonings and serve.
