Pour a tablespoon or so of grapefruit juice into a soup bowl. Put a tablespoon or so of the salt in a separate bowl. Dip the rim of a tall glass in the grapefruit juice. Then dip it in the salt, twisting it around so that the salt coats the entire rim.
Set the glass down salt-side-up and fill it half full with the India Pale Ale. Top up the glass with grapefruit juice. Drink and be refreshed.
