Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Place pie shell on cookie sheet and pre-bake for 10 minutes. Set aside.
Melt butter in non-stick skillet and saute onion on low for 5 minutes. Sprinkle spices over onion.
Increase heat to medium and add sausage, crumbling with wooden spoon. Cook until browned.
In medium bowl, beat eggs. Add cream, milk and cheese and stir until combined.
Spoon sausage into bottom of pre-baked pie shell. Pour liquid mixture over top. Top with tomato slices and cover loosely with tin foil.
Bake at 425 degrees for 12 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 degrees, remove tin foil and continue baking for 30 minutes. Decorate quiche with basil leaves.
