Great appetizer for a party or side dish for a brunch
Chop the mushroom stems, set the caps aside. Fry the chopped mushroom stems with the sausage. Drain the fat from the sausage and mushroom mixture. Allow to cool slightly. Add the cheese to the sausage and mushroom mixture so that it melts. Stuff the mushroom caps with the sausage mixture and bake at 350 degrees uncovered for 30 minutes.
