Cook onion in butter, covered over low heat for 15 minutes. I cooked mushrooms here.
Stir in flour...add milk. Cover and stir over medium high heat until bubbly. Add scallops, salt and pepper to taste. Cover simmer 5 minutes. Stir in white wine.
recipe actually calls for canned mushrooms....I like fresh
