- sieve flour and baking powder with a pinch of salt
- add caster sugar and mix
- rub in butter, stir sultanas and make a well
- in another bowl, mighty whisk the eggs and add the milk. Pour all but 4tbsp into the dry ingredients and mix to make a soft dough
- turn onto a lightly floured work surface, gently roll out until 2-3cm thick, cut into scones
- place on baking tray, brush with egg and milk mixture and sprinkle with sugar
- bake for 10 mins or until golden
