Melt butter on stove top.
Slice each English muffin in half and brush cut sides with the butter. Place, cut side up, on a baking sheet and broil 5 inches from heat for several minutes (until browned).
In a large skillet cook chorizo over medium heat until browned. Drain well on paper towels.
Combine eggs, milk and chili powder, beating with a fork. Scramble the egg mixture and chorizo in the skillet until cooked through, adding cheese to eggs just before they are done.
Serve eggs on top of toasted muffins with avocado slices and salsa.
Add cheese to the eggs just long enough to melt, and serve eggs while still moist.
