Drain the pears, reserving 1 cup of the juice (if there is not one cup in the can, just add water to make one cup). Heat the juice and dissolve in the package of lime Jell-O. Set aside to cool.
Mash pears with the cream cheese. A potato masher works. Add this to the whipped cream (or cool whip, for that matter).
Add whipped cream mixture to cooled Jell-O mixture. Pour into mold or pan and let set.
