Great family recipe. Freezes well, so while you are making one...make 2 and freeze one. Use my Cream Cheese Potatoes for the mashed potatoes, and it's a 5 star for sure.
Brown ground beef and drain. Add 1.5 tablespoon of flour to beef boullion/broth and stir until dissolved. Add to skillet with ground beef and simmer until thickened. Season to taste. (at this point you can add beef broth until gravy is the desired consistency) Line the bottom of casserole dish with ground beef mixture. Next spread 2 cans of corn (or vegetable of choice) evenly over beef mixture. Follow the corn with a layer of mashed potatoes. (You can use my recipe for Cream Cheese Potatoes for the BEST results, but any mashed potatoes will do.) Top with French's Dried Onion Rings, and bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until bubbly on the edges. Freezes well.
