Place ribs in a large pot with enough water to cover. Season with garlic powder, pepper and salt. Bring water to a boil and cook until ribs are tender(approx. 30 minutes).
Preheat oven to 325
Remove ribs from pot and place in a 9 x 13 baking dish. Pour barbecue sauce over ribs (I used Trader Joe's Bold & Smoky/KC Style sauce). Cover dish with aluminum foil and bake in preheated oven 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
