Delightfully easy and inexpensive recipe for refreshing, homemade lemonade!
In a two-quart (1/2 gallon) or larger pitcher, completely dissolve the sugar into the 2 cups of HOT water.
Add the lemon juice and COLD water to the top of the pitcher (roughly 5-6 cups).
Serve in a tall glass over ice.
Refrigerate prepared lemonade for up to a week.
Feel free to adjust the ratios of sugar, lemon, and water to your liking. I personally like the lemon to be the star of the show, with just enough sugar to take the edge off the acidity.
You can also substitute 3-4 cups of brewed tea for some of the water for a different variation.
