Suggest a better descriptionPlace your Crock Pot cast iron skillet on the stove on high heat.
While it heats up, generously salt and pepper your steak.
Once your pan starts to smoke, add a drizzle of olive oil and turn heat down to medium high.
Immediately place seasoned steak in hot pan, searing it on all sides, about 30-45 seconds per side.
Add crushed garlic into pan and allow it to cook with the steak.
Add two generous pats of butter to your pan and let it melt in with the olive oil.
Turn your steak every minute to promote even cooking.
Begin spooning butter over your steak, basting the meat.
To help infuse the flavor, rub the garlic over your steak in between tastings.
Continue to cook steak until it reaches desired doneness.
Remove from pan and allow the meat to rest for about 5 minutes before slicing or serving.
