1. Spray large slow cooker with cooking spray, or lightly coat with cooking oil by using saran wrap. Or to prevent the cake from having dark edges you can line the slow cooker with parchment paper before filling it with the batter.
2. In a large bowl, beat the first four ingredients with an electric mixer as directed on the cake mix box. Pour the cake mixture into the slow cooker.
3. In a medium bowl, beat the pudding mix and 2 cups of milk as directed on the box. Pour into the slow cooker over the cake batter. Do not mix! Sprinkle the chocolate chips over top.
4. Cover and cook on LOW from 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until the cake is set and the pudding is beginning to bubble out of the cake.
