Place cubes squash on baking sheet. Toss butter, brown sugar, salt and pepper and cubes and place in one layer. Cook for 40 minutes or until very tender. Turn once and do not let it brown.
Put 1/2 squash, pan drippings, and half and half in food processor and pulse to a mash. Then repeat with other half. Season.
