1 cup soft shortening
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs beaten
Sift together and stir in:
2 3/4 cup sifted flour
1 teaspoon soda
2 teaspoon Cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon Salt
Chill dough. Boll into balls the size of small walnuts. Roll in mixture of 2 T, sugar and 2 tsp. cinnamon. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bare until lightly browned, but still soft, 400 for 8-10 min.
Yield: 5 dozen
