Mix thoroughly Butter, Shortening, 1 1/2 cups Sugar, and the Eggs.
Blend in Flour, Cream of Tartar, Baking Soda, and Salt.
Shape dough by rounded teaspoonfuls into balls.
Mix Cinnamon and Sugar.
Roll the balls in sugar mixture.
Place 2 inches apart on clean ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set, and bottoms are slightly brown.
Remove from baking sheet immediately.
