Mix cake mix according to box directions. Pour 1/2 of the batter into a 9 x 13 prepared cake pan. Bake about 10 minutes. In a double boiler or microwave, melt the caramels and sweetened condensed mix together. Cook until smooth. Spread onto cake. Add remaining cake batter. Bake until done.
When cooled, frost with Cool Whip and top with crushed Heath Bars. Store in the refrigerator.
