Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Beat butter, sugar, vanilla and salt in large bowl until creamy. Gradually beat in flour. Stir in chips and nuts. Shape into tablespoonful balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes or until cookies are set and lightly browned. Sift powdered sugar over hot cookies on sheets. Let rest on baking sheets for 10 minutes and remove to wire racks.
