Mix together hash browns, melted butter, salt, pepper, chopped onions, and cheddar cheese. Mix soup and sour cream and add to hash browns. Make topping from corn flakes and melted butter. Bake in sprayed 9x13 inch pan at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
