Old fashioned sour cream sugar cookies. A family favorite for 4 generations!
Preheat oven to 400
Start by creaming the shortening and sugar together.
Gradually add the eggs, one at a time.
Add the rest of the ingredients.
Drop by spoonful onto a greased cookie sheet.
Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are slightly browned.
This recipie is the original from before they changed Crisco to what it is now and so I am no longer able to make the cookies spread the way they are supposed to. By the end of the ten minute bake time, the cookies are supposed to be barely raised in the middle with flat, slightly browned edges. If anyone is able to figure out how to fix what Crisco has broken, please let me know!
