2. Place raisins in saucepan and cover with 1 inch of water.
3. Boil raisins on medium heat for 15 minutes.
4. Drain raisins with cold water in sieve and set aside.
5. Wash and dry yams.
6. Cut off the tips of yams and peel yams.
7. Slice yams into 1/2 inch thick circles and quarter the circles into bite-size pieces.
8. Place yams into a medium size bowl and combine raisins and pineapple.
9. Pour yam/fruit mixture into a 9x12 inch casserole dish and set aside.

1. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Do not over-heat.
2. Add sugar and stir until well blended.
3. Add cream and stir until creamy.
4. Stir in cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, maple, and vanilla extract.
5. Taste the mixture and make sure it tastes yummy. Add more spices if needed.

1. Pour mixture over yam/fruit mixture.
2. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
3. Remove foil and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes.
4. If marshmallows are desired, sprinkle them over the yams and continue baking until the marshmallows melt and are slightly brown.
