Suggest a better descriptionHeat your oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 X 13 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. In a skillet, saute chopped green pepper (and onions if desired) over medium-high until tender. Add the sausage to the skillet and cook 8-10 minutes or until sausage is browned and cooked through. Drain. Place one package of hash browns in prepared baking dish. Season with salt and pepper. Top with half of the sausage and half of the cheese; repeat. Combine eggs and milk; beat well with fork. Pour the egg mixture over the layered casserole. Cover with foil and baske for 55 minutes. Uncover, and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
