Homeade Spaghetti Sauce
Heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the onion and green peppers. Saute for 10 min, stirring often, add the garlic and heat for another 1 to 2 minutes, add the tomatoes, black pepper, basil and sugar. Stir often and bring to a low boil. Reduce and simmer for 2-3 hours, for the first 1.5 hours simmer uncover, then cover for the remainder. Add the cheese at the end. This can also be done in a crockpot, just saute on the stove and add to a crockpot to cook all day.
