Add the tomatoes and wine and simmer slowly, until thickened, about 15 minutes add the meatballs, salt, and pepper and continue to simmer slowly until the sauce thickens and the meatballs are cooked through, about 10 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and serve hot, warm, or at room temperature.
