Wash and slice squash. Mix together soup and eggs. Add sugar, onion, cheddar and 1/2 cup bread crumbs. Stir in the squash slices. Pour into buttered casserole dish (13x9). In another bowl, mix 1/2 bread crumbs and melted margarine. Sprinkle over squash mixture. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
